BIOGRAPHY I was born in 1981 in the little Central Finland town of Kangasniemi, where I spent my first 19 years. My parents named me Tuomas Perttu Henrikki Laitinen. My childhood was happy and inspiring. I grew up far a way from civilization on my parents’ farm as an oldest child of a big family, drawing and herding cows. As a child I dreamed of becoming carpenter. When I was eight years old my parents took me to the track and field stadium, where I spent the next ten years. After turning seventeen I read Henry Miller’s “Tropic of Cancer”, painted my first oil painting and bought my first Bob Dylan record. When I was nineteen I graduated from high-school, moved away from my home town and did my civil service in an art museum. I wanted to study art history or philosophy, but I found myself studying art in Lapland. After two years in Lapland, I wanted to go abroad and to do my exchange study year, and then I found myself from Salzburg Austria. After Austria I ended up to Amsterdam to do my internship in nice design studio called Van GOG. Now I'm back in Finland finishing my studies and looking forward new challenges!
